I thought of doing this and that for some time but neither did ‘that’ strike me as enjoyable, nor ‘this’. And then one day, based in no small measure to gentle nudges from my family and friends, I said to myself – ‘Why not start a blog?’ And well, here I am……
You will agree that there is nothing better than laughter to spread a bit of cheer. It is after all the best medicine. So, this is my little corner in the world, aimed only at lightening up every reader’s life, even if ever so slightly.
Having served in uniform for many years, some posts are akin to the ‘Humour In Uniform’ pages of the Reader’s Digest. Others are merely slices of life, where I have taking the mundane, the messy, and the mildly absurd moments of daily life, and giving them a funny little twist. I have attempted to unpack my past experiences, dissect the quirks of human behavior, and generally laugh at myself and the world — with affection, not malice.
In case you sight some streaks of PG Wodehouse humour in my writings, I would consider it an honour, as I absolutely adore his style.
So pull up a chair, grab a coffee (or a stiff drink, no judgment), and let’s look at life… served funny side up
